Dear Better Me Therapy

Rates

Therapy is a commitment to yourself — an investment of time, energy, and financial resources that make lasting change possible.

Standard Rates

Initial Consultation (15-20 minutes): Free

Standard Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $200

(Rates may vary slightly based on currency and payment method.)

Sliding Scale

I believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone. Finding the right therapist can take time and effort. When you finally find someone who feels like the right fit, cost shouldn’t be the only reason you can’t begin.

Sliding scale rates — any amount below the full session fee — are available for a limited number of clients and sessions, depending on current caseload and scheduling.
If you believe that I may be the therapist who can support your healing but your current situation makes it difficult to pay the full fee, please inquire during consultation to discuss eligibility and current availability.

Payment Method

All major credit and debit cards are accepted through a HIPAA-compliant payment platform.

Itemized receipts or superbills for insurance reimbursement can be provided monthly or upon request.
Session fees are due on the day of service.

If you are based outside the U.S. and wish to pay in another currency (for example, Korean won), please mention it during your initial consultation, and we can discuss available options.

Insurance Policy

Dear Better Me Therapy is currently not paneled with insurance providers. If your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, I can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. Please check directly with your insurance company regarding coverage and eligibility.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice so that the time can be offered to another client.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed sessions without notice are charged the full session fee, except in cases of unforeseen or documented emergencies.

If an emergency arises, please reach out as soon as possible so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, including psychotherapy services.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate,
you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate,
visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 985-635-4040.
